Advantages: can't fault him!

Disadvantages: you might have to fork out a bit to see him live

If you have't seen Coxy live please don't waste valuable minutes reading this - run and buy yourself a ticket to his next set. This man is a god. First and foremost of course he plays fantastic tunes without exception (house and techno) and is the master of the spinback (whoosh noises and the like). He's also one of the friendliest DJs on the circuit - we saw him live at The End (London) and he was chatting to us and eating our sweets. He's one of the few DJs who hasn't become naff even when they've achieved global superstardom, for which respect is definitely due. He's got the crowd-pleasing thing down too, waving records in the air and making the crowd scream till they're sick, then literally throwing them onto the decks and still bringing them in perfectly. (He often plays on three or even four decks too). AND he's the only DJ to consistently play the remix of 'As' by George Michael and Mary J Blige, which is one of the best dance tunes made in the last couple of years. See the man!!

Totally agree. Me and a mate were at Ultimate Base a while ago and he was joining hands with us and practically larging it to his own music! A total professional who works unbelievably hard but knows not to forget to have fun with it

I've got a really old mix CD of his and there's a bit on it where he's scratching. There's just enough imperfections for you to know it was done live - no computer trickery - but the guy was spot-on. I don't know anyone else who has the guts to scratch to house these days. Jeremy Healy did but he's ultra-Pants so doesn't count.

I'm not really into techno and hard house but I've seen Mr Cox a couple of times and he was EXCELLENT - Really gets the crowd going!!
