Catatonia in general

Catatonia are one of the best bands you'll ever hear. With three great albums tucked under their belt and a fourth currently in production Catatonia have been racking up the hits and pulling in a large fan base along the way. The albums provide a diverse mix of musical tastes, although they all bear that unmistakable Catatonia feel, which is probably due to the unique (yet wonderful) voice of the front lady, Cerys Matthews. There are lots of welsh bands around, The Manic Street Preachers and Stereophonics are just two of the good ones, my favourite though, has to be Catatonia. In my experience, catatonia's the kind of band you find tucked away on the shelves of music stores because they're not that popular. I didn't really get into them until a couple of years ago but i think they're great! There are five members of catatonia, Cerys Matthews being the most well known. Catatonia are a true Welsh band and Cerys has done a lot to promote Wales in the two years that she has been famous. I have seen Catatonia play live about three times and there are very good. Cerys certainly knows hoe to entertain the crowd. I am alittle disappointed with them at the moment as they cancelled their Christmas shows a year ago because they said they were not ready for them mentally! If you like pop/indie songs then you will like Catatonia. They have only really been on the music scene for about two years and suddenly became famous.
