Like Bryan Adams, Celine Dion should be thouroughly destroyed for giving Canada’s music scene a bad – indeed, hideous – name. She can sing, I’ll give her that. And she scrubs up reasonably well, after liberal application of makeup and frindly lighting. But what real purpose does she serve. Her music is love-and-relationship-obsessed tripe, and we don’t need it. Her music is formulaic, boring, and just generally not worth the bother. I urge you not to listen to, let alone buy, anything by Celine Dion, as any encouragement is a bad idea.
