Censorship In Music : Should acts like Eminem and Marilyn Manson be Censored?

Why is it that things such as half a cow preserved in thamaldohide be classified as "art" but when something has naughty language people are offended and decide it should be banned? Censorship helps no one. It numbs the brain of thousands of people everyday. Nothing and no one is 100% happy and good, so why should television and music be forced to portray life as that? Violence, drugs, sex, swearing and other things that result in censorship are going to be experienced by everyone one day so why pretend the problems don't exist? I do not know if Dooyoo want us to comment on whether Eminem and Marylin Manson need to be censured more than they are already. To some extent they are, because their songs and show are not broadcast at the time of the day when kids can watch them. Having said this, I do not know Marylin Manson very much, he looks a pretty ugly chap, to be honest, but i do like Eminem a lot and I know that his songs can be quite direct, but I think that we need to accept that his style os that of an artist and he is not worse than many other rappers. This depends - censored HOW for one start - to be completely not allowed to swear would be ridiculous and to not be allowed sing about sex and drugs would kill rock 'n' roll wouldn't it ? :o) For starters if swearing in songs was censored it would destroy many many classic songs in my collection how could you replace Rage against the machine's " F**K you I won't do what you tell me.." and what would become of Nine Inch Nails ' Closer' ??? to name just a couple. Should Acts Like Eminem Be Censored? Acts like Eminem should be censored because if a young child turns on the TV an Eminem is saying it like he does, the child will automatically think that he is allowed to repeat the words said. Lots of kids listen to Eminems music but I don't think it should be allowed. I think when Eminem Records his music he should record two versions of each track. I think lots of people are intimidated by them so they instantly don't like them because those people have to feel like they are in control ...
