Advantages: People get a scape goat...
Disadvantages: We don't get to see things as they were intended.
Censorship???? We see it everywhere, films, tv, music, photos, but why?? Funny, but why is that somebody else, who will never know what we like, or dislike but they can decide what we see?? As for Marilyn Manson, what has he ever done to get sensored??? Nothing he's ever done has offended me. In a live gig, he did cut himself on stage, but so what? Did he cut me?? No! So whats the problem??? Eminem?? He's nothing new at all...waving a chainsaw, and wearing a hockey mask BIG WOW!!!! Nothing original, we've seen it before!!! Look at bands of the past, eg, Alice Cooper used to have himself hung, electrocuted on stage, to name bit a few of his on-stage antics! He even used to have a "Crowd" member to invade the stage to be stabbed by Coop with his microphone stand!!! Iron Maiden, Twisted sister, they've all done crazy shit on stage, so what??? If anyone copies them, that's their own fault. Why cant parents take responsibility for their childrens acts, instead of finding a scapegoat, eg, bands. The latest school shooting in America, a friend of the kid responsible was on tv telling everone he listened to Linkin Park!!! Trying to find someone else to blame, instead of his precious gun weilding maniac mate!! Why cant they just admit that their kid had psycological problems, needed help and by coincedence, listened to Linkin Park? Lets face it a normal mind does not do crazy stuff just cos of a song lyric, or music video, do they? If we put more money and time into helping f**ked up kids, indtead of wasting time/money campaigning, and whinging about bands, we'd have less to worry about.
