Charlatans in general

I was once quite a fan of the Charlatans, and I still can’t resist the charms of One To Another, or even the later Just When You’re Thinking Things Over. Recently, however, they have bored me intensely. The only thing still worth bothering with is their instrumentals, in my opinion, and the Chemical Brothers remixes. The rest is bog standard indie type guitar stuff, uninteresting, and frequently even bad. North Country Boy, for example, I thought was awful. Hopefully they’ll sort themselves out soon – otherwise, avoid. ...

They were different I must add, I have in my collection two of there most recent albums. And listening to there music sets me in the mood to relax. A couple of months ago, I went to see them at the colstan hall. Well I didn't know most of the golden oldie songs and I did feel a bit distant from the fans. But when they got into the stuff from there new album, I was well into my element. I must say a few things though, I really didn't know that Tim was so short, I mean I pictured as one of those medium highted blokes, and his voice live was definately nothing klike that on the album, but then the distortion that I was suffering because I was so close to ...

I love this band, i love the lead singer Tim Burgess, i love their songs. They are pretty good as you can gather. I have seen them live twice and each time they were very good. I was a little disapopointed with the last album but it was still OK. They are a good band, playing their own instruments helps (forget STEPS) and like i said, Tim is a God ! My fave song is how high, which i can now sing whilst very drunk and I am planning to see them live again soon ...
