I was lucky enough to see Coldplay live on the 2nd December 2009 at the Birmingham N.I.A.

I thought the choice of setlist was great, covering the whole of their career. I would've liked to have seen "Shiver" and "Warning Sign" in there though.

The atmosphere was incredible. The Coldplay lads really know how to put on a show, at first I was dissapointed that the gig was all seated but i now understand why, it was actually more of a show than a gig. The band moved around the arena at one point, coming upto the crowds in the higher seated area. They mixed up the songs a bit, with some remixes and alternative versions. Chris Martin was very chatty and delightful all night, and although the others were quite quiet, you could tell that they were loving it as much as the band. Highlights of the set for me were "Yellow", "Life In Technicolour II", "Fix You", "Viva La Vida", "Politik" and "Death and All His Friends".

The sound at the venue was also excellent - this might have been helped by the fact that my seat was right next to the sound desk, but overall it was a great night.

Summary: Not to be missed!
