... do I start.... I have always loved this woman and her music. The words in her song still bring a tear to my eyes. I love the fact that she has never forgotten where she came from, she is still the little girl from the moutains. My partner bought me her biograpies and they are a great read, if you have never read them then I suggest that you give it a try. She has such an effect on my life that my five year old daughter is now hooked on her and her music. I got her the book coat of many colours and she loves it. Its a storybook version of the famous song. I have been to see her twice in concert and I really hope that I can go again, she is every part the sh...

... country fans ! last night the 36th CMA (Country Music Awards) took place in Nashville. It was broadcast live on the radio and I have to say I stayed up to listen, from 1am - 4am, at least I had this morning off work. I did enjoy it, but I was a little disappointed at how poppy a lot of the new stuff is. Shania opened the show singing 'Gonna Get You Good', which in my opinion sounds exactly like 'Man I feel like a Woman' and certainly did not blow me away. The same can be said of Kenny Chesney, Vince Gill, Toby Keith and others. It seemed that no attention was paid to song selection for the night.
