Cradle of filth is a english black metal band, although black metal fans argue that they are no longer a part of the genre. I first got into them with thornography. I loved what i heard and when i got the chance to purchase 5 albums for £8 at a carboot sale i jumped at the chance. When i heard these albums i realised what people meant when they said they are no longer black metal. The sound is a lot rawer and it is a lot more like what you would expect from a black metal band.

The music is great and i am very happy i bought the CDs. They are talented musicians and Dani's vocals are great, ranging from incredibly high to deep growls. The lyrics are great also and have a lot of meaning.

The image is what you would expect from a black metal band. They have not gone for corpse paint but have kept with the black leather and spikes.

Overall, they are an amazing band and should be heard by any fan of metal.
