Chester Bennington - now there was an idea! still, doesnt make the music any better, unfortunately. I did try, I really did, I bought the album, it had been recommended by mvc mag, which i trust and i'd seen the vid on mtv2. it very quickly got shunted into my "background music at a party where it doesnt matter" pile. I gave it a few listens but it never really kicks in, I pride myself on not being musically biased. the vid was really, really cool, well done there, but it just doens't have any bite. ... ..At all. As I said in my recent live opinion on Cyclefly (they were great :) btw) I was privileged enough to be able to interview frontman Declan O’Shea before their recent gig at the Oxford Zodiac (23/4/02). I was most unfortunate one day when I was working for Cypress Hill back in 1996. The clever people who booked the gig, brought the Hill over and hired the UK staff also decided to book Cyclefly as the supporting act. At that time Cypress Hill did not have any rock influence in their repertoire meaning that the audience was mainly Hip Hop troopers. Now i'm sure that in their field (rock/grunge/metal kinda outfit) cyclefly are probably quite good at what they do !! But they did not belong here. The audience was a sea of one and two finger salutes and there was no chance of hearing the band over shouts of "shut the f*** up and die". ... Read the complete review
