Advantages: Great R&B group

Disadvantages: Too many rumours, and not not enough emphasis on their music by the press

In 1995 i had the leasure of gseeing Damage perform live. At the time they were just about to release their debut single 'What you see is what you get'. I have to admit it wasn't great, but i was hooked on them anyway. Then they seemed to disappear for a while, only to come back with great new songs: 'Girlfriend', 'Love II Love' and 'Wonderful tonight' just to name a few.

Their album 'Forever' was released on the Big Life label, which unfortunately is no longer. Whilst in a record store in the United States in 1997 i wondered whether Damage had made an album. To my delight there it was, i quickly ran to the till and paid for it. As soon as i arrived home i played it - it was great. they definately had improved since i had saw them two years previous.

With the folding of Big Life, Damage were left in limbo. Luckily, EMI came along and offered them a deal. In the last year they have released such hits as 'Ghetto Romance@ and 'Rumours', and are due to release a new single 'Still be lovin' you' on March 12th, 2001. Their long awaited second album is also due to be released this month (26th March). Howewver, there may be tight competition to get to the top of the charts as other big stars will be hoping for the number one spot the same week.

Jade Jones is probably well known to most people as the boyfriend to Baby Spice emma Bunton, but i believe the group need credit for their own achievements as a british r&b group.
