Plump DJ's in general: ... DJ’s, fat breakbeats, dirty bass and a side order of fries please. Better make it two! These boys by the name of Andy Gardner and Lee Rous have created a pretty major disturbance on the breakbeat scene. This could be just their gravity well but who am I to cast doubt on their substantial frames. The fat lads appear to be named after a rather minority interest ‘gentleman’s magazine’ by t...

kittykat18 Faithless in general
... been feeling a bit down lately. I haven't really laughed for a bit. But last night, I found my mouth naturally forming a big SMILE, all by itself, not forced or fake, but because it wanted to be there. So what put a smile on my face? Well, I went to see the band that I have been wanting to see live since I was 14, which feels like a long time ago to me! I first heard Faithless when they brought out the huge club tune Insomnia. I longed to go out clubbing and remember sleeping over at my friends house and listening to Insomnia over and over again and imagining how amazing it must be. I even included Insomnia in my top ten singles opinion here on Dooyoo....

Adam0001 Orbital in general
... never fail to impress, from their early self titled pieces to the more recent 'The Altogether' they have developed and built on their rave roots. The orbital sound is always recognisable and always a pleasure to hear. The music itself has developed from the early, happy and optimistic techno more closely associated with the rave scene into darker more paranoid territory. The first album (yellow)was a wonderful exercise in upbeat dance featuring such classic tracks as 'Chime' and the ultimate 3am chillout track, 'Belfast'. The act made their intentions somewhat clearer with the follow up album (brown). Te second album although retai...

Craigy2040 Sonique in general
... totally rocks! I think her style of music is the best, she has this excellent way of mixing other people music and her own, it just makes you want to get up and 'jig' and dance! Her first song was the best for me. It had good vocals and strong dance beats. Sonique is consistent with this in all her songs. She keeps a good beat and a good backing sound and then adds the excellent vocals to give it that final ‘touch’. She has been on my system (music) for a long time and I have loved every minute of its playtime. I have bought numerous other albums and Sonique has been on them with her re-mixes and re-mixes of other people’s songs. H...
