Destiny's child are one of the biggest r and b acts today. Over the last 4 years, they've gone from ordinary teenage girls to massive world superstars. The first ever time we expierenced true Destiny was in 1997. The band (which then conisted of Beyoncé, Kelly, LeToya and LaTavia) released "No No No", their first single. This shot right to number 5 in the offical UK charts (with the help of Fugees star Wyclef Jean who featured on the track). At around the same time as "No No No", the song "Killing Time" was added to The "Men In Black" movie soundtrack. The next single "With Me" ... Read the complete review

Destiny's Child are arguably the biggest band in the world right now (although Bono and Michael Stipe may disagree with me...). Their melodies and radio-friendly hits have opened up the general pop market to them, and introduced a new generation to RnB. They were initially set-up under the management of Beyonce Knowles's father. She was joind in the band by childhood friend Kelly Rowland, and later two other members, LaToya and LaTavia, joined them to form a quartet. Shortly after being signed to their first label as thirteen year olds, they were dropped. After a rethink, they were reborn as 'Destiny's Child'. This name was decided upon ... With Signature and Brian Harvey starting off the evening you'd be forgiven for walking out of the venue and never returning. Whether is was the lame Damage-without-the-songs styled R&B of the former or the fallen from grace Brian Harvey it was simply a case of passing the sick bag slowly and surely around the whole venue. The arrogance of Harvey is simply ridiculous with his fall from grace, who for the youngsters its worth noting, who headlined this very venue several years ago with the atrocious East 17. Lad's eh - What are they like? The evening though surely belongs to the ladies and Jamelia is first out of the blocks. Its been a great year for her, ... Read the complete review

I love Destiny's Child, they must be one of the most talented artists ever. I have their second and third albums (The Writings on the Wall, Survivor) which are both brilliant. They both are packed with loads of great songs and are great value for money. The band, now of three members, Beyonce, Kelly and Michelle, are certainly survivors, they have survived 3 different line ups and the only two to stay in the whole time was Beyonce and Kelly - indicating they are perhaps the ring leaders and perhaps the bitchiest members, have you heard the rumor that thy kicked out the other two original band members? Beyonce Knowles is the leader without doubt, her mum ... Read the complete review

I have to accept that they're probably the world's #1 R&B Group, and rightly so. I've never really been an R&B fan, its always seemed too slick for me, and thats probably why I don't like Destiny's Child. Having said that, I think they are very very good at what they do. They're excellent singers, they're very well produced, and their songs are really catchy. Like them or not, once one of their songs gets into your brain, you've had it! Like this afternoon. My CD player stopped working (!) so I listened to the radio. On comes 'Survivor' and for the rest of the day its got me....! All of their songs seem to be really catchy. ...
