The Dixie Chicks have had more than their fair share of "labels", with 'girlie band' probably being the worst. The fact that they are drop-dead-gorgeous may have helped their careers or then again it may have held them back. As with other Dooyooers, I think the latter is the case with many people, and not just the male population. When they were in the UK promoting ‘Wide Open Spaces’ I expected them to be hugely popular but, apart from the occasional play on MOR /country music radio, there has been little heard about them since. When you get out of the towns there is plenty of choice of radio stations so long as you like country. I heard a few of the Chick’s songs in this way and liked them. At first I though “ok, ideal setting for this sort of stuff, it will be alright when I get home, I’ll start ... Read the complete review

Excellent music, excellent looks, don't you just hate them! Seriously though, we don't see enough of these little ladies in the UK do we? Is it because they are so fabulously good looking that no female will buy hteir album on principle? I know we're not great country music lovers here, but they really bring country into the 21st century. They are hip and cool and I have to say again that I hate them, but that's just the old 'green eyed monster' speaking. They really are fab - just need to see more of them please! ...
