DJ Shadow in general

Hip hop's Messiah! DJ skills just dont come better than this. If you haven't heard DJ Shadow, then you're in the dark. Hip hop these days comes in so many various forms and categories it can be overwhelming to an outsider. DJ Shadow is part of the DJ aspect (the clue was in the name). If you like DJing then definitely check this out, its a must. Probably his most famous album is 'Endtroducing', and definitely some of his finer work. This guy simply ceases to amaze. This album blew my mind away the first time that I heard it. This is what Hip Hop is all about. CREATIVITY! not gimmicks(i.e. pretty much all of gangster rap with a few exceptions). From the moment the record starts with BEST FOOT FORWARD you know that this guy is a little something special. The beats are precise and extremely varied. This is what being a DJ is about not all that DANCE MUSIC crap we get in the U.K. that can quite literally put together in 20 minutes. This man is a genius. Not only does he deserve to be called ‘DJ’ far more than many of the poor individuals who share his title, due to his ridiculously adept scratching skills, but his own work is generally stunning. Tracks from Endtroducing and Preemptive Strike often force you to listen to them, the brilliantly designed beats complemented by well chosen samples and moody sounds, often streched (successfully, I stress) over 10 minutes or more. Dj Shadow, surely a legend of music, a master peice. As most people know there is a type of drum and bass called intelligent drum and bass, well if there was a intelligent hiphop he would be under it, his music is great and somehow a point gets accross to you. He will be remembered for his music like Tupac, because he leave's a part behind him which no one ever forget's, his song's are genius, and his tunes are nothing short of spectacular. oh my god oh my god, i just heard DJ Shadow live in Austin, Texas. IT IS ABSOLUTELY BLOODY GOD DAMN AMAZING!! if you thought the albums were good then this will blow your mind. I got it imported from HMV. The brainfreeze and product placement were great but this? WOW! if anyone out there doesn't know who this guy is then they will soon.
