Where do I start....

I have always loved this woman and her music. The words in her song still bring a tear to my eyes. I love the fact that she has never forgotten where she came from, she is still the little girl from the moutains.
My partner bought me her biograpies and they are a great read, if you have never read them then I suggest that you give it a try. She has such an effect on my life that my five year old daughter is now hooked on her and her music. I got her the book coat of many colours and she loves it. Its a storybook version of the famous song.
I have been to see her twice in concert and I really hope that I can go again, she is every part the show woman that she seems. I love the fact that for all that she now has she is still working to try and better the lives of those around her and for children too. Dolly now has a bookclub for kids which I'm sure is now available over here and of course she has Dollywood in which she provides for the community that provided for her while she grew up.
Not only is Dolly an acomplished singer / songwriter but is an amazing actress too. Her films include: 9 to 5, Rhinestone, Unlikely Angel, The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas and my two favourites, Steel Magnoliga & Straight Talk.
Songwise there are the old classics: I Will Always Love You ( written for Porter Wagoner), for whom when she found out that he was in financial dificulty bought the rights to all of his songs when he had to sell them and gifted them back to him, Love I Like A Butterfly, Coat Of Many Colours and her most recent which my favourite is Backwoods Barbie which was also her tour name & album name.

Don't know what else to say except if you never paid much attention to her then it's never too late to let her bring love and happiness into your life.
