Disadvantages: Standing for 3 hours!

Dream Theater playing live is one of the best shows ive ever been to, and possibly to best 3 hours of my life! Ive loved Dream Theater ever since i first heard of them in 1995 and ive been addicted to there heavy progressive styles ever since. A lot of critics say sometimes about live performances, that the studio versions are much better, but not with this band. I would honestly say the live ones are equally as good, maybe even better! The show i attended was in Newport Centre in Wales and i was blown away by the sheer talent that the 5 guys had. Whether it be John Petrucci pulling off some ridiculously fast and complicated solo, or Mike Portnoy standing up whilst double pedalling, the show never ceased to entertain me. 3 hours may seem like a long time for the show, but Dream Theater always keep you hooked, i even forgot my legs were tired from standing! Basically, if your a metal fan, and Dream Theater are playing a show near you, then go, trust me, itll be one of the best decisions youve ever made
