On Saturday the 26th I saw Echo and the Bunnymen at Sheffield's Leadmill. I wasn't expecting much! I'm not one of these full-time nostagia merchants, in fact I tend to avoid reformed bands, no matter how much I loved them first time round. I made an exception for the Pistols and the Velvets, but the Buzzcocks and Bauhaus failed to tempt. Oh, and I saw the Bangles last year in San Fran, and they rocked, but that's for another op. EATB though, I could not resist, I went to V97 for them, and they were so-so. But great to see again after all that time. Like when Star Trek the Motion Picture came out - it was shit, but it was so good to see ...
