Elliott smith isn't the kind to blow his own trumpet, he's far too SHY, and SENSITIVE to do that kind of thing... that's the impression you get from him anyway, the fact that he seems embarrased by the fame he's achieved is probably closer to the mark. Elliott Smith writes beautiful acoustic songs, he's an excellent guitarist, and his lyrics have the emotions of a weary, battered old heart, half sung - half whispered into your ear. He's released a lot of albums, all to critical acclaim, but the fact that he doesn't seem to pick up the electric guitar often (especially coming from america), seemingly stunted his chances of ...
