Elvis Presley was born in Tupelo, Mississippi in 1935, and went on to become 'The King Of Rock N' Roll'. In 1954 he recorded the song THAT'S ALL RIGHT which would go on to redefine popular music for generations to come.

Following this epoch-making recording Elvis went on to record a great many more fantastic rock n' roll songs, although after 1960 these became more and more rare, as he instead tended to record less interesting songs for his tame movies.

Following a comeback to rock music in 1968 however Elvis gave up the movies and instead went back to live concerts, both in Las Vegas and on tour all around the USA. It was during this time that he recorded some of my favourite songs such as Burning love and Always On My Mind.

Elvis' music is an essential listen for anyone with even a passing interest in the development of 20th & 21st century music.
