Fergie was once looked upon as the king of hard house, and this was just last year. Now he has changed his style of music to attract a wider audience. I guess that he doesn't want to be thought of as a hard house dj and thats it, which is fair enough. Anyone that saw fergie dj about a year or so ago will recognise how talented he is. Where hard house is concerned, he was certainly hard. He played a 7 hour set at 'Fergiessential' - a club night after the love parade last year in leeds, and he was just amazing. Undeniably the godfather of the new hard house revolution, the late great Tony De Vit clearly made many friends and influenced many people. The DJ, Producer and Remixer, who tragically passed away on 2nd July 1998 due to bronchial pneumonia/exhaustion was undoubtedly a true legend of dance music and is still one of the most respected names anywhere on the club scene. Bringing back a sound from the early 1990's was never going to be an easy task, but Tony brought the new Hard House movement bang up to date and into fashion.
