Fiona Apple in general

fiona apple is strange, but strange is a nice way. An american friend of mine sent me over a tape of stuff to listen to a couple of years back! three fiona apple tracks was enough for me! i bought the album a week or so later! Ms Apple is hard to describe! she has raw talent but to some extent seems to messed up to ever make it mainstream over here! you thought Alanis was angst ridden! she's a problem free 10 year old compared to Ms Apple! whether she writes from experience or not i don't know but the songs are great and well worth a listen! a quick warning I'm gonna be on a bit of a rant here - it just goes to show what this country's music business has come to when people such as Billie, Girl Thing, Atomic Kitten and Hanson can get in the UK top 40 with a click of their fingers but real talent such as Fiona Apple struggle to even get noticed, I mean to start off with - her new album When The Pawn... (the full titles about 60 words long so excuse me if i don't type it all!!) didn't get any reviews/publicity even though it is a musical masterpiece and the same goes for the single Fast as you can - It seems that ever since she made her little speech at the MTV awards a couple of years ago ...
