Advantages: Excellent atmosphere, Fusion of musical styles

Disadvantages: Hot and sweaty, They have a distictive sound that some may call repetitive

I went to see the freestylers live at the Sanctuary club in Birmingham and I can honestly say it was one of the best gigs I have been to! The Fresstylers sound is unique, a blend of breaks and beats which are very raw. You will almost have certainly heard at leat one of their tunee, eg. Mr Baaaaad Man, or RuffNecks, both excellent club tracks.

It only cost £3 to get in that night, and that included the whole club night as well as the Freestylers playing a set.

Although I only knew a few of their songs, they were all instantly catchy and recognisable. We were right at the front, and the lead singer (Tenor Fly) had a bare chest, not that I was complaining! They had the UK breakdancing champion on stage dancing, it was amazing! Their album is called "We Rock Hard" but not many places stock it for some reason.

There was such a good atmosphere in the club that night, everyone was jumping up and down and it was a brilliant night.

I am going to see the Freestylers again soon in Cardiff and I would say to anyone who likes a fusion of rap/house/drum n bass/breaks, to get down and see them live!!!!
