Great BUT where have they gone?? - Advantages: Great tunes - Disadvantages: Where have they gone?

My opinion on the Fugees is that they should have stuck together and kept releasing hit songs as they were doing so wonderfully in the past my opinion is that allthough they did split the majority of the hit songs have gone in the way of former band member Wycleff Jean whoes kept Fugee spirits riding high with great No 1 hits like "It Doesn't Matter" He has also teamed up with Mary J Blidge on his new track "911" ...  Read the complete review

Wyclef Jean never ceases to amaze me. It seems that everything this ex-Fugee touches turns to gold. Since his old group parted and went their own separate ways he has done nothing but bang out one great tune after another. Wyclef has mastered many genres of music, I mean who can forget the amazing ‘Gone ‘till November’? A song which was a ballad, a love song and an upbeat hip hop track all rolled into one and I defy anyone to not tap along to the recently released ‘It Doesn’t Matter’. I have no desire to listen to the Fugees. Their first song, whatever it was called, was fiercely repetative, and horribly annoying. Subsequent efforts have done little to change my mind. The members all seem to have disbanded and gone about solo projects, which sadly means three times as much rubbish, but happily means no more Fugees. Their success came as a shock to me, as their music struck me as indicative of the sort of half-hearted lets-rap-over-some-beats-and-nothing-else approach to music making.
