Louise Gabrielle Bobb (aka Gabrielle) is officially the most successful British female solo artist since Dusty Springfield - some huge feat for the woman who was temping in London offices just 10 short years ago, whilst singing in Soho clubs to try and realise her dreams of becoming a singer. As a result of a lazy eye, Gabrielle would wear the patch to correct her vision. With each of her three albums, she has come back with a new image. However, her music has stayed much the same... Gabrielle was born in Hackney around 30 years ago. Her success with the number 1 album and single both sharing the same title “rise”, led to the Billboard (USA) calling her the UK’s hottest fe- artist! I wouldn’t disagree either.
