Advantages: Riffs, singing.

Disadvantages: Where's the third album?

Garbage are a great band. Shunned by many when they first surfaced, for being a bit too polished, they nonetheless made a great impression. The gorgeous Shirley Manson sings marvellously, and the tunes are brilliantly crafted for impact. They go quiet in all the right places, loudly explode at all the correct junctures, and start, stop and change direction at the best points for such things. Pseudo-rock made with dance music values, in a way. I for one can’t wait for the third album, as I find Garbage fiercely entertaining.
