The Goo Goo Dolls , I must say are one of my ultimate favourite bands... An origional group,that plays their own instruments,( not that there's anything wrong with singers that dont .. just saying !)and write records and produce them too ... They have an amazing array of hits,that has made me sit up and take note ! I forst heard'Iris'which was a sound track song on the Movie City Of Angels(Meg Ryan , Nicholas Cage .. there were angels involved ! lol) ~ Which was such a great song .. And it was played on Mtv Select all of once ,when the guys themselves came down into the studios and despite my consistant requests to see the video,to my dissapointment ...

One of the greatest bands of my cd collection has to be the goo goo dolls. When they first started they sucked like you wouldn't believe. Jed (their first album) was appalling. A canadian friend of mine still refuses to listen to them on the strengh of this album. But they evolved. Rather than trying to change the world of music, they let the world of music change them! their single name, made them in the staes and got massive aor play and reocrd sales. A boy named goo their album at the time also proved popular with american of all music tastes. just when you thought they couldn't get any better they produced dizzy up the girl. which has even ...

Hmmm, very very interesting. This band have been around for ages and this latest album is their 8th or 9th, and it is very, very odd. I mean, what sort of a name is the "Goo Goo Dolls"? They have their own very unique style, heavily featuring loud soft guitar tunes, which is like nothing ever heard before. Note: That does not necessarily make it good. The songs all sound familiar, yet repetitive. Boring, yet tuneful. The singer's voice is hazy/croaky and somehow really, really dull. I think it is this that makes all of the songs sound the same. The voice is so weird, that it ends up making the main guitars pale into the distance and sound ...
