So i just got back, yesterday, from the move festival. Obviously if you wasnt there you have missed it..but the bands will still go on and play tours, where u can catch them if u missed them this time.

They were all good acts, some not my kind of style but still performed well. It was a long day, lasting from 3.30pm till 10.30pm and seeing 6 bands, it was a very good day. Kicking things off was a band from california. I have seen these perform live once before, when they supported Incubus back in January of this year..and they are Hoobastank. When i saw them at that Incubus gig, i thought they sounded great. So i went out and bought their album, self titled 'Hoobastank' if your a rock fan i recommend buying this, i think its a good album, with my favourite tracks being, 'Crawling In The Dark' 'Better' 'To Little To Late' and my favourite on the album 'Pieces' And as i stood in the middle of the pit at the move festival with Hoobastank on stage, i was hoping they would open with 'Pieces' and they didnt dissapoint me. It got Hoobastanks set of to a great start and they carried that on through their set. A good start to the festival, and after owning their album, seeing them live twice now, i recommend anyone reading this to go and see them next time you have a chance, i know i will be!

After Hoobastank got me going, i was really looking forward to hearing some more music. And the next band of the day to play was Rival Schools. I had heard some of their stuff before, not alot, but enough to know who they are and what their like. Anyway as they came on stage, till when they left the stage, they were to put it politely, crap. Their live performance i thought was not that good, and the songs were poor. They wasnt my kind of band when i went into the day and i certainly wont be wanting to hear them again. It put me out of the mood abit now, and after every song they played i was hoping it would be there las
t. By this time i left the crowd of people surrounding the stage after rival schools set to cool down and get a drink before the next band came on.

The next band, and only band on the day from the UK, leeds to be precise, was A. After hearing 'Nothing' and 'Starbucks' i checked out their new album, 'Hi-Fi Serious' I thought it was good. So i was looking forward to seeing them live especially the 2 songs i have already mentioned. I thought they were good live and a big step up from Rival Schools. When they played 'Starbucks' they also got a good pit going. There was a good atmosphere surrounding their whole set infact. And as they closed there set, they finished up with 'Nothing' which they performed great. All in all, i would say that id like to see A in their own tour so they can perform for abit longer, and play a few more of their tracks.

As i am not a follower of Ska Punk, infact i really cant stand the stuff, i wasnt particulary looking forward to the next band, Less Than Jake. Everybody in the place except me seemed to like them. i couldnt understand why, i just thought the music was not worth me listening to. But i stuck with them listening to them, hoping their would at leats be one good song. Cant remember their being one! At least they were energetic on stage, which cant be said for some other bands i have seen.

For me the enxt band i was thinking "why are these even on now? they should have been on first or something" in my opinion they wasnt that good at all. But after hearing them i thought they was ok, better than i expected. They was No Doubt. The only reason i made my way to the front was to get as close as i could to Gwen Stefani, as she is one the hottest things around. Although she looked great i was hoping No Doubt would be equally as good. They opened with a song i actually like by them 'Hella Good' they performed it live very well to. To be fair it was a good
set, and i liked hearing their old school songs like 'Dont Speak' The only song ireally didnt like is 'Hey Baby' which for some reason everyone else seemed to like, in my opinion its a very annoying song. The one other thing i did and do like about No Doubt is their stuff they do on stage. You get the band running around after each other, Gwen running around alot and doing press ups. Also she climbs to the top of the stage, which was abit mad but cooool. But thats Gwen for you. I would actually after seeing them live, go to see them again.

And that concludes the support bands, yes Hoobastank rival schools A less than jake and no doubt are only support acts to the headliner who i really paid the money for, the other bands were just a bonus. Green Day is the band i was there for. I have seen alot of bands before, but never Green Day. I couldnt wait to see them. They are one of my favourite bands. They was funny, great live, talked to the crowd and was overall just great. They played some old stuff and newer stuff. Some songs although i wanted to hear which they didnt play, one being 'Geek Stink Breath' But from start to finish they were amazing. The best band i have seen in my lifetime live. I really do recommed anyone to see these. I was hoping to get picked to play onstage on any instrument. But i didnt get picked :( one lucky so and so..got a kiss of billie joe!!! and got to keep the guitar he performed with!!!!!!!!!!!! the lucky bast..person. Just to be their in the same area as Green Day was enough for me, i cant wait till i see them again. A great day...A GREEN DAY.

Green Day are...
Billie Joe Armstrong
Tre Cool
Mike Dirnt
