 ... Sandra Nasic is both full of sensuality and raw power. I was so blown away by their sound on CD that I instantly jumped at the chance to see them live in London even though we had to get a train from Portsmouth. It really was worth every penny as the band had a surprisingly strong following and there was a great crowd and atmosphere. When you think of German bands, Rammstein instantly springs to mind. Thus I was a bit wary when my friend recommended Guano Apes to me. Luckily they turned out to be far more melodic and inspirational. I read in Metal Hammer magazine that they have been likened to Skunk Anansie and No Doubt, probably because these bands also have really charismatic front-women. The Guano Apes are an amazing rock band from Germany. They have been likened to Skunk Anansie (RIP) but heavier and with better riffs. They have released two albums, 'Proud like a God' and 'Don't Give Me Names', both prove that they have immense talent. They have just completed a mini-tour in England, three dates to be precise, in Glasgow, London and Manchester. I went to the latter, aware of their talent and still came out of the gig shocked by it.
