When Hanson first brought out 'mmmbop' I thought it was great, a lively upbeat number that you could sing along to and when they followed it up with 'Where's the Love' I promptly bought their album. It was great. I found myself singing along to all the songs and knew the words off by heart. Then they brought out a Christmas album, equally good and that album comes out in our house each December 25th. But now, well, I'm sorry but I don't like their songs since they came back after a break. Hanson first hit our charts in 1997. Most people enjoyed their music until they saw what they looked like. Three american brothers from tulsa, who had long hair. Their first hit was 'mmmbop' which was a catchy tune and for a while was popular. I know many people who brought that single and enjoyed it. But as usual they went out of fashion so to speak. Hanson may be three kids with stupid hair but I've got to admit they produce some great music. Normally I can't stand pop whatsoever but here is an exception. I think the main reason is that, unlike nearly every single pop group, they actually have talent. Their music has a feel good vibe which is present in bands such as Blink 182 and to a certain extent Stereophonics. A couple of brothers who love to just play their instruments and have fun have gained my respect. Their songs are happy, have a good tune and should not be taken to seriously. I'm waiting to hear their new material and hope it will be as good as their previous album, after ...
