Green Day - Live:
... and when? I saw Green Day in Boblingen in Germany and also at Brixton Academy in London. Both in January 2005 Who are they? A punk/pop/rock three-piece who started with the fantastic 1039/Smoothed Out Slappy Hours in 1990 (albeit without their manic drummer, Tre Cool) and made the pop/punk scene theirs with releases including “Basket Case”, “When I come around” and “Good Riddance “Time of your life”. Linkin Park - Live ... opinions of Linkin Park are bound to be divided. After Limp Bizkit opened nu-metal to a wider commercial market, Linkin Park were certainly one of the first bands to capitalise. Some see them as a sell out (boy band with nu-metal trappings), while others no doubt like them for much the same reason! I think Hybrid Theory was a great debut album, setting Linkin Park ahead of their peers and deservedly selling bucket loads. My cynical side says they?re milking it a little though. Over six million sales of the long awaited follow-up Meteora, yet they?ve still felt the need for a remix album and now live CD/DVD package in that time? Still Live In Texas coincides wi... Reel Big Fish in general ... Fish INTRODUCTION I've only been a fan of Reel Big Fish for about a year now, but all I can say is 'oh my God!'. I went to see them at the Shepherd's Bush Empire in London on the 15th with a couple of friends from Cornwall as well as a few friends from London and I can definitely say that it was one of the best concerts that I have been to in a long time. having been to the Reading Festival in 2001 for the entire weekend, seeing Reef perform near my home town in quaint ol' Cornwall and also to see Nickleba... Jimmy Eat World in general ... Eat World are a brilliant band under the catagory of emo. This means kind of punk-rock music, maybe slow, with emotional and touching lyrics about true to life things, sometimes very personal. They set a very high standard for this as they are so talented and now new and upcoming bands like Taking Back Sunday (who rule by the way) and BrandNew (one of my favourite bands at the moment) have them as sort of role models. I haven't heard very much of Jimmy Eat World's material really though I own a few of their latest albums and think they're really amazing and powerful, particually the selftitled 2001 release. This features the single which some of you ... Read the full review: the shape of emo to come by coolboy182 |
