Also because once you decide to upgrade to a more expensive harmonica you will find the transition much easier, being able to play single notes with ease. I highly recommend this harmonica for anyone who fancies a pocket value harmonica that they can play anytime and still sound good. Hohner is also a very reliable brand that make many other harmonicas too. It's feel and look are great. It looks very professional for the price...more

Premium Review The Hohner Puck Harmonica: Great! (157 words)

The Hohner Puck Harmonica. This harmonica is great to learn on. It is in the key of C which is a good generic place to start if you're going to learn. It's sound is lovely and will fit any mood. The only problem is it's size, as it is much smaller than most harmonicas. For the money however (mine was only a fiver), it is worth the hassle to learn on. Premium Review HOHNER Blues Harp (265 words)

The harmonica.. its just a thing you blow in to make sound.. WRONG! Most people I have met dont even seem to realise you can inhale on a harmonica.. DUH! Anyway, for those who know about them.. The HOHNER Blues Harp comes in 3 scales.. C, D and G. i personally own a C scale blues harp. This harmonica has a wood comb, it is light and has fairly small holes as far as a diatonic harmonica goes.. and I love it. The holes give a good clean sound and respon superbly to both normal bends (Half and full tone) on the lower holes AND to blow bending on the higher pitches. (Excluding holes 5 and 7, which allthough you can bend, you shouldnt bend on any diatonic ...  Read the complete review

Harmonica: Suck or blow! (156 words)

Whichever takes your fancy, you can suck or blow with this :-) The Harmonica is a good instrument for people to learn if they aren`t very musically minded. It`s fairly easy to pick up and you can play recognisable tunes within a few days if you are prepared to put the effort in. The problem with this, along with most simple instruments, is that they are a bit limited in terms of what you can do once you`ve gotten good at playing. It is an excellent first step to take though, it will help you decide if you like music enough to make it worth your while moving onto a more expensive instrument. One good point the harmonica has over other ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Harmonica Heaven (216 words)

Everyone loves music, so it's only nateral that most people want to learn to play an instrument. The most popular being guitar or keyboard, the trouble is I find the guitar is hard to learn and takes a lot of devotion, and the keyboard is easy to learn but the outlay can be quite expensive. I play a totally different instrument, I play the harmonica, and this is a fantastic instrument to play, it's extremely easy to learn, you can make fantastic music with them. Did you know a decent harmonica only costs about £5, you will need to buy about 3 in different chords, but 1 in a C chord will surfice for the beginner. You don't even have ...  Read the complete review
