Advantages: good band

Disadvantages: how will they react once the camera's have gone

I have been watching Popstars since the beginning and I have been very impressed by it all. The stars are very down to earth and although they have been manufactured at the end of the day they are humans and have feelings.
It was a difficult choice getting the band together but they seem to have chosen the right people.

The band is made up of two men and three women, Suzanne, Mylene, Kym and Noel and Danny. I think thy have got a good mix and the are all good personalities. Noel is my favourite, a mummy’s boy but very sweet and a good singer. He brings a lot of humour into the group which is good.
I thought it was very nasty of Nigel to say the group had gone fatter, I think they are like the people’s band because these are normal people put together, and they shouldn’t have to be like sticks.
Suzanne’s also a good band member, she seems a touch quiet but she can sing, has the look to match and will go far.

I like Kym she’s the one who really has made it, she has two small children and it’s been difficult for her, but she really has personality. She’s talkative, and has an opinion on most things, I think she’s the loud one of the group with Noel.
To tell you the truth I didn’t like Mylene but she’s growing on me, it was just something about her that made me say no. She is very talented and plays three instruments and she can sing quite well and I am sure she will do well. And there’s Danny a very emotional person but a really good singer, he’s come from a cleaner to a pop star and seems to be enjoying it a lot.

So, that’s the band they are quite normal people, not scared to show emotions and seem to get on really well.
The first single ‘Pure and Simple’ seems good I have heard it on the radio a few times and it’s growing on me, the video to it is also very good. I just think the have done so well, millions
of us have followed their progress, it just shows it can be done with the right backing anything is possible.

I don’t know whether they will get to number one because there’s some good songs out, like Shaggy’s and the Comic Relief songs but it would be nice if they did, and reward for all their hard work.
But, I suppose the hard work will really start once the camera’s have gone and they are left to their own devices.

If ‘Hear’Say’ are here this time next year they would have been a success. A good band, some great member with some good music.
