Advantages: None
Disadvantages: Annoying, talentless, fake,artificial...do you want me to go on?
Im not a big believer in artificial bands like Spice Girls, Steps and Boyzone. I believe that a band should make it off the back of thier own talent. I use the term "band" to describe these people very loosely because really they are nothing more than a group of indiviuals who are brought together under an artificial environment. A band is something formed from a bunch of musicians who play instruments in my books. A bit like my band. I play Bass, My frineds play guitar drums and someone sings. 5 people that are plucked from obsurity to be used as a record companies' glove puppet do not deserve fame and fortune. Afterall, what have they done to deserve it? Hear'say are at number One in the charts this morning for one reason. Familiarity. Im sure If I churned out some rubbish recorded in a flash studio after being plastered all over a TV programme designed to get into people's minds, I would be at number one too. They are not there through talent but through people being brainwashed by their annoying publicity team pushing them in our faces at every opportunity. At the Brits they performed. What right did they have to be there? They had not even had a song out yet! And Craig David did not win anything so it shows what sort of sham that was. The music industry there hurled abuse at them as they performed their song. Is it any wonder? They had no righ being there. I dont like them very much. They are fake and limited on talent. They will be here today and gone tomorrow. My prediction? One Hit Wonders. Once the public gets bored, they will be dropped faster than a hot potato.
