Advantages: good story
Disadvantages: will it last?!!?
Maybe the band name should be-Here today Gone tomorrow?
I’ve been very impressed with the band, I have followed their success and although I was delighted for them and glad they got to number one. It did make me think.
It just goes to show that if you have the right backing and the right people behind you can make it. And of course you need money.
But, where does that leave the rest of the up coming stars who have barely a penny between them and no financial backing what so ever. But, atleast Hear’Say were a good example to others, that it can be done. You can make it rich and big and be successful.
I like Popstars because they were already people, the band were ordinary, Danny was a cleaner and from a cleaner he was a Popstar. Most have had difficult lives, Noel for example who’s lived with his Mum and been there for her, and he genuinely missed he. They all miss their parents, families. We got to see a different spin on Popstars, it’s not glamour and some of it’s hard.
From watching the series you could tell how the Newspaper stories affected them, and what to us can make good reading it can hurt people.
It was a hard road for the Band, having to go through countless selection processes and having to be nice to Nasty Nigel, they did at the end find a good band, and the faces went together. So, the band members there’s Kim, she’s a good singer and probably the loud mouth out of the lot. I didn’t give her much credit for hiding her children, as if she could keep that a secret. And kids aren’t something to hide anyway. But, she’s a good member of the group and every group needs a bubbly personality like hers. There’s Mylene a very talented person, for some odd reason I didn’t take to her, she seemed so fake in front of the camera’s. But, I suppose she’s ok and every band member needs a smiley face and being talented helps. Suzanne seems
very quiet but she’s a good singer and a good member of the group.
The boys two of them, Noel he’s a good singer but seems a good person, he’s got time for his Mum and sometimes needs to pinch himself. Behind Kim I would say he’s the life and soul of the group. Then there’s Danny he gives the group that RnB feel with his singing and he’s a bit different. Loves to show his emotions but still very down to earth.
That’s the group and I think they are good together, they seem to be a good unit and it will be important if they are to stick together that they do stay good friends and get on well, which I am sure they will do.
Their single ‘Pure and Simple’ is a good song when I heard it I though it sounded a bit All Saints but slower. It was the third fastest selling single to get to number one. I didn’t buy it but if it’s on TV I’ll listen to it.
With the camera’s gone, it will be remain to be seen whether the group and can remain motivated, and see if they can be determined to be a little more than a one hit wonder.
