Advantages: radios have something to play instead of talking, the band themselves become rather rich, technically its still better than another garage "anthem"

Disadvantages: wannabe factor, spoonfed popstars, one of many more just like it

This band... I have waited a long long time to voice my opinions on these very people. Okay, so they won some TV series, which means... *technically* they have more talent than all the other losers out there who aren't good enough to get a record deal by themselves. They didn't even decide on a name for themselves until given help. And for a long time, they survived on their name alone, and photoshoots in papers. Then, they appeared on the Pepsi Charts on Channel 5... and mouthed along to some song or other (under the bridge if my memory serves me correctly). This is by no means making use of their "skill". Now, their single, which was guaranteed from the day that they won the popstars prize, to get to number one, has made them money. Did they write the words? did they do the choreography? Would they have made it without the help of too much money, an ITV television series, and a spoonfed contract with "number one" emblazoned on it with gold lettering? I believe the answers we are looking for, ladies and gentlemen, is no, no, and... no. I have to say that their song isn't even up to much, they have no special *spark* at all, they are just another mediocre band who, if by some chance they had got some minor contract, would have floated at around number 73, and dwindled from the public eye in about as much time as it takes for another band just the same to come along. You may say I am biased, because my general preference in music is that of an alternative slant (eg punk, rock, metal etc) but I have fairly evaluated this group, and have nothing to say about them in a positive fashion. Nothing whatsoever. As for the rumours about one of them being found dead... hmm, publicity stunt anyone? Beginning to fade already? Death! That'll do nicely.

If anyone has anything positive to say about these middle of the road efforts, I will listen to it carefully, then make my own responses, to prove I stand for what I say.

love t
o you all ;)

PS I mean no disrespect to people who genuinely like hearsay for their music; I mean, each to their own...

The tv series showed that they can all sing, but with crappy songs like "bridge over troubled water" and "pure and simple", they are just confining them selves to the league of the Spice Girls. They are lifeless, and cant write their own songs. They are complete bull
