Advantages: informative, fun, sense of community,lots of freebies.

Disadvantages: may feel an outsider amongst more avid fans!

The site is pink! No denying that! It is an easy to navigate site with lots of options.
And you might be pleased to know that not all the sections are so..pink!

The front page offers an array of news storys and links. Currently there is a link to a site to fund free mammograms for women who cant afford to get them privately.

The menu is easy to understand and leads you to an array of sections, each of them full and informative! The Video and Audio sections are particularly full, they offer a vast ammount of material all for free. Courtney Love is a believer in music being free to all that want it and she has even discussed the possibiltities surrounding releasing an album free on the internet. The archives contain old and rare pieces of Holes sonic history.

There is a chatroom and message board, registration is required for these but its free. There is no denying there is a community spirit at Hole.com, with literally thousands of fans registered.

The online shop offers a range of official merchandise at reasonable prices. Fan interaction is encouraged at Hole.com, Courtney and Eric providing links to their favourite sites etc as well as Courtney regularly posting on the message boards.

Hole.com is very much a community and a good place to go for a new fan to educate themselves. Anti-Courtney fans are made to feel unwelcome in the forums and although occasionally a place for hero-worship, it is an all round good site.
