Advantages: Grea tunes
Disadvantages: raps about too many personal things
A couple of years ago you would have never seen an eastside rapper even near a Westside rapper. But now that has all blown over the two coasts are getting on well. And producing some great tunes, e.g. Mos Def and Nate Dogg composed a good tune with “Oh No.” Jay-Z is a superior figure within the Eastside connection, he has produced some great albums over the years and his latest one “The Dynasty” is equal and also contains some Westside flavour. The album is composed like one produced by Dr Dre, it has an intro at the start explaining “The Dynasty” it also contains a thumping back beat and really sets the scene for a great album. The album contains 16 tunes including the hit single “I just wanna love u.” This song is situated at number three which is a good position for your first hit single from your latest album. This great tune really gets you going, the song itself is a superb tune, well written and perfected. This song is followed by a more hardcore tune, “streets is talking” which is a hard tune with lots of explicit language and explains how young people get out onto the streets and using drugs. It expresses strong points about reality deep into the American suburbs. The following tune to this is a really mellow tune, “this can’t be life,” the song features scarface who tells a story about one of his friends who lost a child. It really expresses a serious point to every one listening to the album. Jay-Z has a really out standing voice, which is great in its own right, you can also tell when Jay-Z is rapping or not. The 6th tune features the mighty Snoop Dogg, which proves the west and east must have come to some truce. The tune is one of my favourites and like the other tunes has a serious point behind it. The inclusion of so many great tunes makes this Jay-Z absolutely top quality and I think it certainly rates to any Dr Dre albums, yet they do rap about
different things, where Jay-Z is much more serious. Other rappers, which appear on the album are, Memphis Bleek, Beanie Sigel, R-Kelly, Freeway and DJ Clue, all of which add to the flavour and switch the album into a different direction!! Other tunes which appear on this album are, “You, me, him and her,” “guilty until proven innocent,” and “soon you’ll understand,” and many more. This is a really great album for anyone who really like any type of rap, I would definitely recommend it to a friend and give i
