Jeff Beck in general

Jeff Beck is one of the most respected guitarists in rock music, he was a competent pianist and guitarist by the age of eleven. He first played in the sixties group The Nightshifts and The Tridents before he replaced Eric Clapton in The Yardbirds in 1965. He was the lead guitarist with the group in it's greatest hit making period, having hits with Heartful Of Soul, I'm A Man and Over Under Sideways Down. He left them in 1966, he recorded several singles including Hi Ho Silver Lining, he then formed the first of several Jeff Beck groups with Rod Stewart, Ronnie Wood and Mickie Waller.
