... were all excited to see one of the best bands in the world today (my claim - not theirs) appear. Straight away they launched into a track from their latest album 'I to Sky 'namely 'Glimmer' - an extremely loud track made ten times louder by being played live - One of the comments Cute Girl came out with almost straight away was 'bloody hell they're up for it tonight aren't they??' and it was obvious that they were - Mark's voice was on top form on the night and this track only serve...more

Crowned Review JJ72 - Live: Tripley, Herman Munster and Marge (2028 words)

First off the title - I have a good knack of doing one thing at every concert I go to - no matter where I stand the really tall (even taller than me) person will stand in front of me - this time I got Herman Munster's evil twin first time and then when I decided to switch to the other side of the crowd to get a better view (and to be with the severely cute girl who thought I was Irish) - it was Marge Simpson's sister - you know - the one with the bigger hair? Premium Review JJ72 - Live: Belfast Limelight 2 December 2000 | Queen's May Ball 10t ... (1684 words)

Belfast Limelight 2 December 2001 This was the third time I'd seen JJ72 and it was the best performance I've seen them give so far. Their live performances are so far removed from the album, everything is so much more raw and agressive and passionate, you just forget about everything and concentrate entirely on the music. I arrived at the Limelight about 15 minutes before the doors opened, and handily for me met some friends at the top of the queue, so I didn't have to join the already considerable length. Once inside I took up my traditional stage right position in front of Hilary's mic. It wasn't too long before opening band Kid ...  Read the complete review
