This is a great c.d. it is mostly blue music. The first song in the album is I’m lucky, this is a great song, it sounds familiar even though I had never heard it before. Joan who was the first question I asked myself on hearing "All the way from America" playing on my friends c.d. player. I decided to research the great voice of Joan Armatrading. For all the other people who, like me, have/had no idea who she was I will tell you a little about her. Joan Armatrading was raised in Birmingham but born on the island of St Kitts. She was born in 1950 and in her teenage years she taught herself to play the piano and the guitar. From a young age she played in clubs and worked in theatre.
