Some people find it strange that, despite the fact that my favoured genres of music are metal, rock and folk, Kate Bush is my all time favourite artist. She has touched me with her music more than anyone or anything else in my life. It's comforting nowadays when the majority of popular music that surrounds us seems to have little meaning other than fame and financial gain, to turn back to an artist whose very allure is in her mysterious fear of the limelight. Sitting down to write this review, I realised, in any order, three things. I realised the difficulty that artists must experience when compiling a “best of” album of their work, bound to include commercially successful tracks which may not be their favourites but which the fans would demand.
