I have been a King Prawn fan for a few years now, and after narrowly missing them when they played in Milton Keynes a year ago, I vowed to see them when they came again. The days leading up to the Friday were torturous - I had wanted to see them for ages, and despite the fact that they aren't a massive band, they are one of my favourite and I spent days listening to their album 'Surrender to the Blender' in anticipation. It was also good in that it was my 11 year old cousin's first proper rock gig, and what a way for him to be initiated into the world of rock! King Prawn Gig Branson’s 29th September It is one of the biggest bands that have played at Branson’s and the mixed genre rockers created quite a buzz at the slightly run down atmospheric venue (the toilets were flooded and Babar luck- bassist Kin Prawn told me that he rather stay constipated!). King Prawn are a mix of ska punk (mainly) with a bit or rap and hip hop. This compliments the multi racial band- Devil hands would look like a cockney thug if he didn’t smile all the time and also be a genuinely nice bloke.
