The band that we call "Korn", was formed 7 years ago. In the creation on this band, came the break up of two other bands, "Sexart" and "LAPD".
Jonathan Davis was in the band Sexart, other members included: David DeRoo, Ray Solis, Ryan Schuck (From present day Orgy), and Dennis Shinn. The members from LAPD were: Richard Morales, James Shaffer, Reginald Arvizu, David Silveria, and tour only member Brian Welch. One night Munky and Head were in Bakersfield and they went to go have a few drinks at this bar. It just so happened that Sexart was playing there that night. In a nutshell they were leaving right as Sexart was coming on and right as they were walking out the door the heard Jonathan singing and they turned around and watched the whole performance. Head and Munky talked to Jon about trying out for their band. At first, Jon did not want anything to do with it. Soon afterwards, Jon went to a psychic and was told that he would be stupid if he did not go try out for the band, so he did, look at him now. Once the band was officially formed, and they decided on a name, they made their first demo tape titled, "Niedermeyer?s Mind." This tape had only four songs, Blind, Predictable, Daddy, and Alive. The Predictable we know stayed the same. However, they changed the other three songs. After a few tries Korn found a record deal, Immortal Records.
