Kruder & Dorfmeister in general

Kruder and Dorfmeister blow all my assumptions about leather trousered Austrians in to a gently inflated and delicately popped bubble with their super-deep chilling dub and electronic sounds. The Kruder and Dorfmeister template is simple. Take a tune, any tune, add some cool jazzy instrumentation and some foundation shaking bass and dub gently over a warm echo chamber until it boils over into a comforting austrian stew of all things chill. A few years ago someone gave me a compilation album called the 'Rebirth of Cool Phive' - one of a series of mixed artist collections from the chill out section. I loved everything on this album so much that I decided it was an ideal way of expanding my entire music collection without taking too much of a risk.
