Advantages: great voice

Disadvantages: not as successful as she deserves

When she first entered the UK charts Leann Rimes was 15 with the voice of a 21 year old. Her debut single “How Do I Live” was perhaps the best thing to come from the hit factory that is Diane Warren. For a long time. The song debuted in the UK top 10 and stayed there for many weeks making her a well known star.

She had an impressive voice for someone so young, especially when she was compared to Billie who emerged at about the same time.

The rest of he music was largely unknown in this country as its all inspirational and country music.

The next couple of releases from her album “Sittin’ On Top Of The World” didn’t really chart very well so we heard less and less of her throughout the year.

Then she returned to the charts this year with “Can’t Fight The Moonlight” another Diane Warren number from the film “Coyote Ugly”. Her voice is less impressive now she’s older as she now sounds 18 and in a funny sort of way, sounds younger than she did a few years ago. But she can still sing better than the Billie Pipers, Lollys and Mandy Moores of the world.

I hope that this doesn’t turn into a repeat of her previous album with a huge hit turning into nothing as she deserves more success than she has.
