"LED ZEPPELIN" Reportedly this name came from The Whos Keith Moon who said, "that will go down like a Lead Zeppelin" However it was thought that the Americans would be too stupid to realise it was the metal not as in "leed". Led Zeppelin rose like the Pheonix from the ashes from Jimmy Pages earlier band The YardBirds, from which three of the greatest guitarist came from, being of course Jimmy Page, Eric Clapton and last but not least Jeff Beck. I knew this Guardian-reader once. He wasn’t too bright, if you can believe that. Anyway, like all good Guardian-readers he didn't approve of smut or porn. The funny thing was that he did approve of Led Zeppelin. You know, the same Led Zeppelin as used lyrics like "I wanna be your back-door man" and "Squeeze me babe, till the juice runs down my leg". As I said, he wasn’t too bright. Kind of like Led Zeppelin's music, really. My house was vibrating last night really rocking I was listening to Led Zeppelin. Cannot remember when I first heard them along time ago in my youth I have never seen them live boohoo.
