I though I might just write a little bit about the man they call Lee "Scratch" Perry, and expand on my Arkology review. The first thing people always say about Scratch is that he's a mad man, although I personally don't believe this to be the case, this is irrelevant. Perry may or may not be mad, but what is impossible to refute is that his music has always been madly inventive and a joy to listen too. Perry came to Kingston from the countryside in the 1950s and, in the 60's he worked as a egineer for such emminent producers as Coxsone Dodd and Joe Gibbs.
