An amazing duo (Lennon & McCartney)

Advantages: Amazing lyrics

Disadvantages: McCartney is still trying to live off past glories

Lennon and McCartney have written some of the best songs in history - period. I don`t think anyone in their right mind could possibly argue that point.

Anyway, when you look at the huge number and range of songs written by this pair, you wonder how modern "song writers" have the gall to call themselves that. As well as being in one of the most popular bands in history, playing their own instruments, they wrote so many songs. It almost defies belief.

Unfortunately it wasn`t to last forever, and now all we have left is Paul McCartney. A real pity that Lennon was shot, because of the pair he was by far the best. McCartney has become an arrogant, stuck up little arsehole - convinced of his own superiority. Fair enough - he was in one of the biggest bands in history and co-wrote some of the best songs of all time, but lets stop living on past glories now Paul. His recent classical music compsitions devoted to Linda are appauling - generic classical music at it`s very worst. And before anyone starts slamming me for saying that, I was there listening at the world premier and I almost fell asleep. His paintings are appauling, it just saddens me to see how low someone can fall from those dizzy heights.

I don`t think I need to end this opinion wtih a reccomendation to go out and buy some of their songs. If yuo don`t already own at least one Lennon/McCartney song then you probably don`t have a music collection. even if you don`t have an original, I`m sure you`ve got a cover of one of their songs hiding somewhere, considering the number of times they have beencovered by other bands.
