Advantages: Keep young kids occupied

Disadvantages: Quite rubbish really

Remember those pink wafer biscuits that you used to eat when you were a kid. Weren't they lovely....the pink biscuit, filled with that pink fondant...mmmmm.......However, I don't expect that many of you have had a yearning to buy any recently. And do you know why? BECAUSE THEY'RE HORRIBLE! Anyone over the age of about..ooohhh.....I'd say 12, who eats these biscuits regularly has something a little wrong with them. I guess you might be able to see where this sophisticated biscuit analogy is going now....Limp 'pink wafer' Bizkit, are a band who are for kids and anyone who likes them over the age of 15, should not be allowed to have children of their own.

Now, its obvious that Limp Bizkit are rubbish, but I think that if I'd been about five years younger when they came about that I may have been ensnared by their particularly unspecific angst. Not many 13 year olds have much to be angsty about, but the second they realize that they should be going through puberty, they feel as though they should be plagued by an existential angst (probably induced by the fact that the hair they were told would start growing in particular areas, just won't appear). Limp Bizkit sum up this feeling perfectly, the chorus of 'Rollin'' may as well say 'my pubes aren't growing, growin', growin'.

Now, Limp Bizkit aren't actually the worst musical thing in the world. I mean look at the Stereophonics and then look at Limp Bizkit, with their costumes, big bad videos and dancing girls and I know who I would rather have for my national rubbish band. Its just that Fred Durst and the rest of them are ideologically despicable. They are trying to make angst popular. In America, there is a big problem with the sporty jocks, picking on the other weirdo kids. Limp Bizkit release a song called 'Break Stuff' and suddenly the jocks know exactly who they want to break. Limp Bizkit is music by knuckleheads for knuckle hea
ds (or should that be knuckleheadz to make it a little more hip-hop?). Rage Against the Machine did everything musically about five years before them, but also managed to imbue it with some intelligence.

Just as films have ratings, Limp Bizkit albums should have a '13' certificate, where only people under this age can buy it. We can't have the people who run our country listening to this rubbish! Limp Bizkit have their place in the musical heirachy and are about the best band that I truly despise and at least they do their form of rubbish better than Papa Roach and 'the' Linkin Park.
However, I am mildly disturbed that as much as I try, I am not able to despise Blink 182 as much as I want to! Better stop eating those pink wafer biscuits!

Obvious, unoriginal, lacking in info, SU. If my Grandfather wants to listen to Limp Bizkit, who are you to say he's wrong? Grow up.

Ooh, humour. Good opinion, that's for sure. But don't diss Blink. Ever. ;o)
